BENGALURU: Police recently announced the detention of a history-sheeter charged with more than 10 criminal cases.
Chetan Kumar alias Chikka Chetu, 28, is a resident of Nagarabhavi. Police commissioner CH Pratap Reddy had issued a detention order against him based on a report filed by Bagalagunte police.
Police said Chetan was involved in criminal activities since 2012 and the cases against him are for murder, attempt to murder, dacoity, robbery, assault, and criminal intimidation. He was known for jumping bail and skipping court hearings. On May 30, police detained him under the Goonda Act to prevent him from continuing his anti-social activities.
