Bengaluru couple sues tailor for spoiling sari, wins case

BENGALURU: An elderly couple sued their local tailor for allegedly damaging an expensive silk sari that was given for stitching falls.

Following a court battle lasting close to two years, a Bengaluru consumer forum recently ruled in the couple's favour. The court ordered the tailor to refund the cost of the sari (Rs 21,975), apart from a compensation of Rs 10,000 for the trouble caused to the couple.
