The COMED-K UGET results are out and of the top ten ranks, five were secured by students from Karnataka, including the first rank.
The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K) announced the COMED-K UGET result on Saturday.
N. Nandha Gopi Krishna from Bengaluru emerged as the first rank holder, and the second and third ranks have been bagged by Manus Agarwal of Gurgaon and Siddarth Pamidi of Bengaluru respectively.
Other rank holders from Karnataka include Siddarth Pamidi from Banashankari, Bengaluru (rank 3), Arjun B Dikshit from Sanjaynagar, Bengaluru (rank 9), and Manish H. Parashar from Rajarajeswari Nagar, Bengaluru (rank 10).
Others from the top 10 ranks included two each from Haryana and Kerala and one from Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka (Mysuru) respectively. Except for one girl, Shreya Prasad (rank 8), all in the top 10 were boys.
Meanwhile, of the 8,130 ranks between the 90 to 100 percentile, 2,543 candidates are from Karnataka. Similarly, 7,719 candidates are between the 80 and 90 percentile among this, 2,157 are from Karnataka.
Rank cards of the eligible candidates have been available to their applicant login on the COMED-K website www.comedk.org and counselling will be conducted online, and the candidates must upload the scanned copies of the documents through their login.
COMED-K UGET is the gateway for admissions at 18,000 private engineering seats in around 125 engineering colleges. The test, held on May 28, was taken by 77,232 students-- 25,244 from Karnataka and 51,988 from other states.
N. Nandha Gopi Krishna, topper of the COMED-K, is interested in joining the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and waiting for JEE advanced results.
Manas Agarwal, from Haryana and second topper, expressed his desire to study in Bengaluru. “I want to study computer science engineering at R.V. Engineering College, Bengaluru. That’s why I took the COMED-K exam, and I am very happy with the result,” he said.
