As expected, the Monday after the loss to the Baltimore Ravens didn’t provide much in the way of injury updates on Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor told reporters Monday that Burrow is “sore” and the process remains in the evaluation stage. Meaning, Taylor isn’t ready to say anything for certain about the team’s “Monday Night Football” game against the Los Angeles Rams just yet.
Buy Bengals TicketsNotable, though, was the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Kelsey Conway reporting that Burrow went through the locker room “without a noticeable limp” on Monday. Of course, especially when it comes to calf injuries, walking vs. anything more serious is wildly different.
Burrow suffered the injury on one of his last offensive plays of the Week 2 loss to the Ravens while rolling out of the pocket and said after the game that he tweaked the calf that cost him most of training camp.
For now, things remain in a holding pattern, which meshes with what Burrow said after the game about seeing how it feels in a few days.
