Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is having fun with media appearances again, this time ahead of his team’s season opener against the Cleveland Browns.
Asked if he hears some of the noise from the Browns before kickoff, Chase had some funny comments that will surely provoke a reaction.
Buy Bengals Tickets“It’s just a game to me. It don’t feel no different…I was about to call them (Browns) the elfs,” Chase said, per Jeremy Rauch of Fox 19. “Cleveland is Cleveland. I look forward to the matchups that we have when we’re facing them, but other than that, I don’t care.”
The comments come on the heels of a Browns cornerback telling reporters that he keeps receipts for things the Bengals have said in the past.
As always, Chase likes to jab and prod through the media, which often creates funny moments. The prime example is the “Pat Who?” comment about Patrick Mahomes that provoked a reaction from Mahomes himself, plus Travis Kelce getting into the fray.
This one is up there with those, though the turnaround time on who gets the last laugh on the field is a matter of hours.
"It's a regular game to me."
"It's just the hooping and hollering about the Cleveland Browns. I was about to call them the elf's (elves)."
