Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor has confirmed the team won’t roll out any starters for the team’s preseason finale against the Washington Commanders over the weekend.
This one isn’t all that unexpected given how the team usually approaches the preseason exhibitions.
But a few factors come into play here. One, defenders like Mike Hilton got to play snaps in the Week 2 preseason contest, which was a little uncharacteristic of the Taylor program. And two — as fans well know — the team started pretty slow last year over the first month.
Alas, fans hoping to see a few starters play in the preseason finale that sometimes features starters league-wide will instead have to wait for the opener against the Browns.
