The Cincinnati Bengals are still mathematically alive for the playoffs, but they almost need a miracle for that to happen. It’s getting close to draft season for Cincinnati, a season that currently would include a top-10 pick in the draft.
At the top of the draft, there was a change as the Jaguars won in Nashville over the Titans, improving to 3-10. With the Raiders and Giants both losing, they now occupy the top two spots at 2-11. Vegas’ schedule gives them the edge over New York as the new holder of the No. 1 pick.
Then you have no less than six teams sitting at 3-10. That means eight teams are within one game of each other for the top pick. A quarter of the league has double-digit losses through 14 weeks. The Bears will join the 10-loss club very soon after falling to 4-9 Sunday and the Bengals, Saints and Cowboys are all 5-8.
