The Cincinnati Bengals list just two players out for this Sunday’s Week 8 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Both fall into the expected column given this week’s happenings:
- LB Akeem Davis-Gaither (Out)
- RB Chase Brown (Out)
Orlando Brown Jr. (who has healed faster than expected) and three others practiced in full on Friday, signaling they are good to go and didn’t end up listed on the injury report at all.
Davis-Gaither’s knee issue has taken longer to heal than expected, so his ending up out after missing another week of practice led to this.
Brown is the only mild surprise after he pulled a hamstring in practice on Thursday, the same day coaches said they’re expecting backups behind Joe Mixon to take on a bigger share of the responsibilities. That will now go to Trayveon Williams and perhaps Chris Evans.
