The Cincinnati Bengals sound like a team hopeful that star wideout Tee Higgins can return to the field next week.
Higgins has been sidelined for multiple games with a hamstring injury he suffered during a practice on November 8.
But on Monday, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor sounded more optimistic than usual about the outlook.
“I think so,” Taylor said. “We’ll see what we can get out of him this week as it goes. He’s been working the trainers. He’ll continue to do that. We get an extra day with Wednesday being a bonus day. We’ll see where he’s at.”
Higgins’ timeline for a hamstring injury isn’t all that unusual, but the timing of it caused him to miss multiple games that were bunched together.
To date during a critical contract year, he’s played in just seven games and scored twice after previously battling and recovering from a fractured rib.
