The Cincinnati Bengals used the final injury report as a way to reveal the fate of Joe Mixon and Ja’Marr Chase against the Tennesse Titans on Sunday.
According to Bengals head coach Zac Taylor, Mixon will miss the game as he continues to work through concussion protocol.
As for Chase, Taylor says he’ll be a game-time decision with a questionable tag.
The Bengals gave the following statuses on the final report:
- WR Ja’Marr Chase (Questionable)
- LB Joe Bachie (Questionable)
- DL Josh Tupou (Questionable)
- S Dax Hill (Questionable)
- RB Joe Mixon (Out)
It will be Samaje Perine getting the start at running back, just as he did last week during the second half of a win over Pittsburgh. If Chase can’t go after practicing limited all week, Trenton Irwin and others will again seek to compensate.
Besides the obvious (like La’el Collins getting veteran rest days), the Bengals will have first-round rookie Dax Hill back for the defense, per Taylor. The offense will return running back Chris Evans after he missed last week, too.
