It has been safe to assume for the better part of a week that Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is near or at 100 percent.
But it sure doesn’t hurt to hear it coming from an insider, right?
According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, someone close to the team had this to say when asked if Burrow is healthy: “Yes. Joe is 100 percent. He hasn’t had any limitations at practice or bad soreness in his calf.”
That seems to put a final stamp on the calf injury discussion around Burrow. He looked steadily more mobile and comfortable over the two-game winning streak before the bye, then had the week off to rest.
Good timing, too, because the Bengals face the league’s second-toughest remaining schedule out of the bye, starting the gantlet with Nick Bosa and the 49ers.
This has always been the end goal since Burrow aggravated the injury in Week 2 — getting to the bye relatively competitive and then surging out of it with Burrow at 100 percent.
