It doesn’t sound like the Cincinnati Bengals offense will have to wait long on two of its new starters to get back in the fold at training camp.
Monday, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said new right guard Alex Cappa will slowly get worked in over the next few days as padded practices start.
Perhaps most notably, Taylor said new right tackle La’el Collins is considered “day to day,” according to the team’s Marisa Contipelli.
Collins was a surprise addition to the NFI list with a back issue before camp started. While he’s been out, rookie Cordell Volson got some snaps there in drills despite being slated for a competition with Jackson Carman for the starting spot at left guard.
If things pan out well over the next week, both Cappa and Collins could be back in front of a returning Joe Burrow.
