The Cincinnati Bengals made sure to get a close look at the must-know University of Cincinnati Bearcats wide receivers before the 2023 NFL draft.
Fresh on the heels of the revelation that the Bengals visited with UC wideout Tre Tucker, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 also noted the team met Bearcats star Tyler Scott.
Scott, 5’10” and 177 pounds, had 899 yards and nine touchdowns last year and has a mid-round feel to his draft outlook, with NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein going as far as comparing him to T.Y. Hilton.
There’s a good chance the Bengals don’t get a realistic shot at Scott in a range they would prefer to draft a wideout compared to other needs.
But given that Scott is local, fits well in a post-Tyler Boyd era and could be their best player available, cliches like never say never apply.
