Get ready to see a million mock drafts with a million pairings of the Cincinnati Bengals and an offensive lineman with the 31st pick.
We recently highlighted Todd McShay’s latest mock and his selection of Central Michigan’s Bernhard Raimann for the Bengals.
This time, it’s Luke Easterling of Draft Wire. He also mocks a lineman to the Bengals, but we hit up the ACC this time to select Zion Johnson of Boston College:
“The Bengals made it all the way to the Super Bowl despite having a weak offensive line, and it remains their top priority heading into this offseason. This scenario gives them the perfect opportunity to address their need at right guard with a polished, physical blocker in Johnson, who would be an immediate upgrade.”
Johnson is an incredible athlete and just came off a fantastic week down in Mobile, Alabama for the Senior Bowl. He can move around the interior of the offensive line and even saw reps at tackle in Mobile. He can do it all and was named Senior Bowl Practice Player of the Week.
Johnson just gets after it and has a mean streak to him that would instantly upgrade the offensive line and the protection for Joe Burrow, which is obviously what this all circles around. Johnson would be a great fit in Cincinnati.
Easterling double-dips on the offensive line in the second round at pick 63 with Nicholas Petit-Frere of Ohio State, who can slide in at right tackle. He wraps up his three-round mock with Oregon CB Mykael Wright at No. 95.
