The Cincinnati Bengals could go a few different ways in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft.
Arguably the likeliest direction, though, is addressing an offensive line that has been problematic since the team lost Kevin Zeitler and Andrew Whitworth years ago.
That’s where the Bengals look in a new mock draft from NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein, who has them taking Penn State offensive tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu: “Fashanu has good size and length, and plenty of upside, but he still has work to do to reach his potential.”
Fashanu is a new name for the team and certainly has traits the Bengals like in their linemen, meaning the fact he’s 6’6″ and 319 pounds with double-digit starts at left tackle last year while serving as a team captain.
Provided a prospect they take can make the switch to right tackle or perhaps inside to left guard, the Bengals will have plenty of options in the opening round, Fashanu being one of the more notable so far.
