Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor recently made waves by taking to a local bar after the team’s first playoff win and gifting game balls, quite literally, throughout the city of Cincinnati.
Tight end C.J. Uzomah was one of those players Taylor tasked with going out into the city to deliver game balls after the team’s first playoff win in 31 years.
And during a recent interview on “Good Morning Football,” Uzomah let slip something pretty funny — the bar Taylor visited initially carded him before the viral events unfolded.
Meaning, the bar thought one of the NFL’s youngest head coaches indeed looked pretty young. Maybe it’s just bar policy to card everyone, but not knowing the head coach of the Bengals is pretty funny on a night like that one.
It’s just a small, funny note about an overall amazing night for the city. Though something tells us Taylor won’t get carded at that same bar if he makes a return visit. Others bars in the area though…we’ll just have to wait and see if the Bengals can take down the Titans in the divisional round.
On @GMFB , @Bengals tight end CJ Uzomah said head coach Zac Taylor got carded at the bar he brought the game ball to after Saturday's playoff win.
He wasn't kidding.

Win your city's first playoff game in 31 years? Still got to get ID'd at the door of the bar. 😂@cj_uzomah said @bengals Coach Zach Taylor was carded when he brought a game ball to a Cincinnati bar after their playoff win. (via @gmfb) pic.twitter.com/L6F07xYd2l
