At this point, the Cincinnati Bengals don’t have any reason to get super specific about the plan for Joe Burrow against the Cleveland Browns in the season opener.
All signs point to Burrow being just fine for Week 1, especially after encouraging comments from coaches recently, plus his practice appearances.
Buy Bengals TicketsBurrow’s latest practice day was Monday, where Bengals head coach Zac Taylor called the star quarterback’s status a “day-to-day” thing, the same description used for defensive end Joseph Ossai.
“Today was a really good day for him,” Taylor said of Burrow, according to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic. “It was encouraging to see.”
Burrow took part in took part in seven-on-seven work last week during his big return and was part of the walkthrough on Monday.
But until the Bengals have to turn in official injury designations, this is the sort of coach-speak that will go out.
