The Cincinnati Bengals currently sit as favorites at Paycor Stadium with the Cleveland Browns in town for a Week 14 rematch.
Those Bengals are predictable, albeit risky favorites against the Browns after emerging winners of four in a row and in six of their last seven.
That one blemish on the record though? A loss to the Browns.
Over at Tipico Sportsbook, the Bengals currently sit as 5.5-point favorites against the Browns.
Since the bye, the Bengals have gone into Pittsburgh and Tennessee to get wins before taking down Kansas City last week. Cleveland just got back quarterback Deshaun Watson and just escaped with a win over a bad Houston team last week to make it 5-7 on the season.
Back in Week 8 though, the Bengals took a 32-13 loss to the Watson-less Browns in what seemed like just another Browns game during the Zac Taylor era (he’s now 1-6 against Cleveland). There, Myles Garrett destroyed the Bengals offensive line and Browns rushers scored three times.
On paper, the Bengals are playing much, much better now and they’re catching Watson while he tries to get back on track. But with the way Taylor has called games and the way his team usually plays the Browns on the mind, it’s understandable that this isn’t a bigger line and bettors might not be confident in them, this week, at least.
