The Cincinnati Bengals shook up the quarterback position behind Joe Burrow this offseason with Trevor Siemian.
Here’s a quick look at Siemian’s profile as we continue to count down the days until the regular season.
Experience: 8 years (Round 7, 2015)
Age: 31
College: Northwestern
2021 PFF Grade: 64.4 (attempted 26 passes in 2022)
Numbers to Know: 58.9 career completion percentage with 7,027 yards and 42 touchdowns against 28 interceptions.
Resume and Outlook: Siemian arrives as the immediate backup behind Burrow after Brandon Allen signed with San Francisco. He’s infamously the guy who threw for 312 yards and four touchdowns against the Bengals in a Denver win back in 2016. While his numbers don’t pop off the page, Siemian is a very established backup and came up in Denver alongside current Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan. His experience in similar systems is a boon that locks him in as the No. 2.
