A benefits cheat who claimed to live in Cleethorpes while running a property business in Spain was caught out after boasting about her Costa Blanca lifestyle on Facebook. She now had to sell up to repay £92,500.
Louise Jones, 53, had fraudulently claimed thousands of pounds in disability and housing benefits after moving with her boyfriend Bruce McHardy to Alicante. The couple married and Jones joined his property development business.
Jones then managed to falsely claim housing benefits by saying she lived in homes he owned in Hull and Cleethorpres, HullLive reports. Her downfall came after she showcased her Mediterranean lifestyle on Facebook.
