Ben Doak FIFA 23 rating confirmed as Liverpool youngster tipped for big things

After breaking into the first team in recent weeks, Ben Doak has been added to the Liverpool squad in FIFA 23 for the first time.

A 16-minute cameo against Derby County in November's Carabao Cup clash was enough to excite Liverpool fans about Doak, and after impressing in friendlies against Lyon and AC Milan during the World Cup break, the 17-year-old has been trusted with a few first-team appearances by Jurgen Klopp. Injuries in the Reds attack have worked in the Scotman's favour, with Doak having appeared in four of Liverpool's last five games, albeit mere minutes off the bench.

The involvement of youngsters like Doak, Bobby Clark and Stefan Bajcetic has been a silver lining in a poor season for the Reds, with the latter also having been added to FIFA 23 recently. EA Sports has noticed Doak's addition to the Liverpool squad as well, and the forward was also added to the Liverpool squad in the latest squad update.

So, how does Doak compare to the rest of the Liverpool squad on FIFA 23? We assessed the 17-year-old's in-game profile to see how he fares against the rest of Klopp's squad.

Ben Doak's FIFA 23 rating analysed

Overall rating: 61/99

Overall Potential: 84/99

Positions: RW/RM

Weak Foot: Three Star

Skill Moves: Two Star

Doak has been given an overall rating of 61 out of 99 in FIFA 23, with only academy defender James Norris possessing a lower rating (60) in the Reds squad. But the 17-year-old has an incredible potential rating of 84 out of 99, a humongous increase on his current overall rating.

If Doak was to fulfil his potential and become 84 rated overall, it would make him higher-rated than the current rating of Harvey Elliott (75), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (77), Darwin Nunez (82), Roberto Firmino (83) and Cody Gakpo (83). It would also see. the Scotsman become as good as Luis Diaz (84), and a little lower than Diogo Jota (85), but a decent way behind Mohamed Salah (90).

His potential rating is higher than Kaide Gordon (83), Bajcetic (82), Calvin Ramsay (81), the same as Curtis Jones (84), but worse than Fabio Carvalho (86), Elliott (87), Ibrahima Konate (88), Gakpo (88) and Nunez (89). EA has also given Doak a three-star weak foot and two-star skill moves rating out of five, though it's rare that EA award youngsters high ratings in these stats.

Doak's best stats in FIFA 23 are his pace and dribbling, with the forward still low-rated in his shooting and passing. His stand-out in-game stats are his acceleration (84), agility (82), sprint speed (76), balance (76) and dribbling (67), whilst his finishing (56), short passing (53), shot power (58) and long shots (36) still have room for improvement.

Overall, Doak's FIFA 23 profile shows that the 17-year-old could become one of the better players in the Liverpool squad, with his high potential rating making him better than a host of current options in the first team. But, he's far from that stage at the moment, and only time will tell how good the Scotsman could become.
