Ben Doak continued his stunning rise in the game by starring for Scotland Under-21s - but ended the night on the treatment table.
The former Celtic starlet has had a meteoric climb at Liverpool that has ended in him being handed his top team debut for Jurgen Klopp's side in the Carabao Cup win over Derby County. He followed that up with a place on the bench in the English Premier League against Southampton, but was an used sub on that occasion. He was then rewarded pro terms at the club with a bright future ahead of him in the game.
His rewards come after stand out performances for the Reds' youth teams. His displays in the UEFA Youth League in particular have caught the eye with the 17-year-old notching four goals and four assists in the group stages - including strikes against Rangers. Before his move from Celtic to Liverpool, Doak tasted some first-team experience after Ange Postecoglou handed him two senior appearances against Dundee United and in the Old Firm derby.

He once again shone on the big stage, this time for Scotland Under-21s as he grabbed an assist in the 2-1 defeat to Iceland at Fir Park after setting up Max Johnson. However, two goals for the visitors from Kristall Mani Ingason completed a comeback win and ended the Dark Blues' five-game unbeaten run.
Scotland boss Scot Gemmill admitted the youngster was disappointed not to score as he hailed the attacker as 'very exciting' but also revealed he took a sore one that required medical attention.
He said: “We're all very confident of the potential Ben has but he still has to go and do it. Credit to him, he did it again. He's disappointed he didn't score and he's on the treatment table after taking a sore one.
"It's very exciting and there is a lot to look forward to but that 20 minutes of the second half is the real learning point.”
