LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp admits he's delighted to see Ben Davies join a 'fantastic club' in Rangers.
The defender has signed a four-year deal at Ibrox, as he brought an 18-month spell with the Reds to an end.
He moved from Preston to the Premier League giants in January 2021, when it seemed he was headed for Celtic.
Things didn't work out at Anfield it's fair to say, with the experienced Englishman, 26, never making a first team appearance.
He spent last season out on loan with Sheffield United.
And Klopp says the move by Giovanni van Bronckhorst to get Davies on board at Ibrox is a "smart" one.
Ben Davies has today completed a permanent transfer to @RangersFC. All the best for the future, @BenDavies1108 🙌

Klopp commented: "Super move. Very positive outcome.
"Rangers is a fantastic club, a big club. Ben belongs on a big stage for sure. European football as well. This presents a proper opportunity to demonstrate his quality and composure.
“As a person he’s as good a guy as you could hope to meet.
“It’s a smart piece of recruitment from Giovanni van Bronckhorst, to be honest. Perfect for all parties. He has himself an accomplished defender, who is entering his peak years and whose character is top drawer.
“We wish Ben nothing but the success he deserves and will be following from here as he goes on to make many achievements during the rest of his career.”
