Ben Chilwell is one of only four Chelsea stars to have broken their silence on Graham Potter's recent exit from the club on social media. It comes over one day after the former Brighton man was dismissed from his post following on from a wretched run of form.
The Blues struggled to pick up results under Potter with plenty of injuries, new additions and tactical implementation adding challenges to the mix. There was hope that the head coach had turned a corner after winning three games on the spin, which included progression to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
However, defeat to Aston Villa upon the club's return from international duty saw the west London outfit drop into the bottom half and action was taken. "They will be sad as well because they know the level of human being that Graham is," Interim coach Bruno Saltor said on the player's reaction to the news. "They will take responsibility as they have done since day one. I just expect them to be next to us and supportive."

The squad and their interim boss have the tough task of facing Liverpool on Tuesday night, giving very little time for such a smooth transition to occur. However, one thing that may have been noticeable in the lead up to that game has been the seemingly radio silence from the Chelsea squad on Potter's exit.
So far, only four first team stars have taken to Instagram to break their silence on the situation, with Ben Chilwell leading the way. The left-back posted a story that reads: "Thank you gaffer." Marc Cucurella joined him with: "Thanks and best of luck in the future, gaffer."
Those two were joined by Noni Madueke and Armando Broja in posting similar, however the rest of the team at this stage appear to be quiet on the situation. It remains to be seen whether that will change, but for many, the best reaction will be on the football pitch against Liverpool.
