A host of Chelsea's stars have replied to Mason Mount's end-of-season message on Instagram. The 24-year-old was unable to play at Stamford Bridge due to injury meaning that he may have had his final farewell from the club already should a transfer happen this summer.
His contract has just over 12 months left to run but with interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Bayern Munich, Chelsea are expected to sell him if a new deal cannot be agreed. After months at loggerheads and no significant movement, the prospect of the two-time player of the season is very real.
The contract issues have been confounded with his worst run of form since making his debut in 2019. This season brought about just three league goals but his six assists were still more than any other player despite not playing in six weeks or a full 90 minutes since January.

As the end of season farewells and laps of the ground took place, Mount was seen looking emotional whilst other players also appeared to be saying their goodbyes to the club with summer moves away awaiting for many. Mount is in a different boat to those, though, due to his popularity and impressive track record.
There is every chance that this was his last true appearance in front of the Stamford Bridge crowd, though, and he took to social media to address the fans. "It’s fair to say it’s been an up and down season, but your support has never dipped," he wrote on Instagram.
"Travelling all around the country, you were with us every step of the way and at times we didn’t deserve you. But now it’s time to have a break and recover… Thank you & enjoy your summer Blues."
It has been taken by many as a goodbye message despite the uncertainty. With no mention of the new season it has raised the idea that he himself is already planning for pastures new but Ben Chilwell, Noni Madueke and Trevoh Chalobah have all taken to the replies to send their love his way.
"My brother man" wrote Chilwell with three hearts. Former Blues midfielder Billy Gilmour added three blue hearts, Lewis Hall just the singular red heart and Raheem Sterling three raised hand emojis. Chalobah wrote: "My boy forever."
It comes after a period of immense disappointment for Mount, who had minor surgery on an injury that has plagued the second half of the season. His last home league match was as a substitute in the 2-1 defeat to Brighton whilst he also came off the bench against Real Madrid later that week.
He was seen embracing with Chilwell, who put a consoling arm around his shoulder during the formalities at the end of the game. There were no cries of 'we want you to stay' as is sometimes the case in these situations but his rousing reception when leaving the field in previous matches at the end of the game says all that is needed to know about how he is loved by the home fans.
