CONTENT WARNING: This article discusses alleged domestic violence.
Below Deck Mediterranean star Nathan Gallagher has been charged in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident in December in Sydney.
According to a police memo, which was first reported on by Rolling Stone, Gallagher was arrested on December 27, 2025, after police alleged he assaulted an unnamed 29-year-old woman at a Sydney-area apartment complex on Boxing Day.
He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent and common assault. Gallagher was granted conditional bail. It is not clear how he has pleaded to the charges.
The police memo reportedly does not identify the woman involved. However, Rolling Stone reports that a related Apprehended Violence Application in NSW names Gallagher as the respondent and was filed on behalf of fellow Below Deck Mediterranean cast member Gael Cameron.
Cameron and Gallagher met while filming the ninth season of the Bravo series and share a young son. A hearing in relation to the application is listed for September 1.
In NSW, an Apprehended Violence Order, commonly known as an AVO, is a court order intended to protect a person who fears violence, intimidation, harassment or stalking.
An application is not, in itself, a criminal finding, and matters before the court remain subject to the legal process.
The alleged incident came to light while Gallagher’s latest Below Deck Mediterranean season is airing in the US. The season was filmed before the charges were reported and includes storylines involving Gallagher’s work as a bosun and his family life with Cameron. Bravo, the network behind the Below Deck franchise, is yet to comment on the matter.
