Below Deck star Captain Sandy has been slammed as "cruel and toxic" after accusing her co-star Fraser Olender of "filling the boat with cancer".
In the latest episode of the hit Bravo show, 57-year-old Sandy voiced her concerns about Fraser's leadership skills and called him out in front of the entire crew during a team building activity.
"When I see where we can change things, I expect you to go downstairs and shoulder what I just told you.
"That needs to be improved and not permeate the boat with cancer," she said after hearing that he was sharing his feelings about her with other cast members.
Sandy continued: "You have now infected my entire program. The fish stinks at the head and right now you are that head.
"What you have done is created the worst experience that I have ever experienced on a boat with a chief stew."
She later added: "When you have insubordination and just blatant disrespect, I don’t have room for that. It started with Fraser, and it needs to end with Fraser.
"He lacks respect for authority and he needs to earn my respect back."
Fraser then broke down in tears as he recalled the conversation to his mother.
Explaining the situation, he said: "I was really upset about the way I was spoken to by Captain Sandy, and I voiced my opinion to the rest of the crew.
"And the captain caught wind of that somehow and has named me the cancer of the crew."
Fraser then started crying before adding: "If someone refers to cancer to me ever again with what I went through with my father it makes me disgusted.
"The fact that she thinks so negatively of me makes me feel utterly horrendous.”
Fans quickly took to Twitter to defend Fraser and call out Sandy's behaviour.
One person wrote: "us @FraserOlender fans have entered the chat to@protect him #BelowDeck," which Fraser also retweeted.
Another said: "Sandy ruins every season she’s on; she’s a predator looking to rage & abuse power. Go check Ross, not Fraser! Capt Lee would never act like this! #BelowDeck"
"Captain Sandy is one of the most toxic bosses ever. She’s cruel, condescending and reactive," a third fan added while another tweeted: "Captain Sandy has really sucked the fun out of watching this show. I am not enjoying it or her."
Some people defended Sandy, with one fan tweeting: "The amount of hate that Sandy is getting right now is stupid because y’all can’t separate personality to how you’re supposed to do a job on a yacht and be held accountable for it.
"Alissa and Fraser aren’t up to snuff and now she has to direct them. IT’S HER JOB. #BelowDeck"
