Beloved UK chief mouser cat Palmerston dies aged 12 after serving Boris Johnson as No.10’s Larry leads tributes

Palmerston the cat - who was the chief mouser at the Foreign Office until stepping down in 2020 - has died at his retirement home in Bermuda.

The cat was a rescue from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and became famous during his four years at Whitehall.
