Beloved mum suffers 'severe' injuries in Wollaton crash as family call for answers

A Nottinghamshire woman was taken to hospital after she was hit by a car in Wollaton. Nawroz Marzan, 41, was on her way to do the shopping for her family when she was struck by a car on the pedestrian crossing at the bottom of Western Boulevard during the morning of Thursday, January 26.

The mum of four has remained at Queen's Medical Centre since the incident, which left her spine being broken in two places, a broken arm and rib, a head injury and a leg injury.

Officers called Nawroz's husband, who asked to remain anonymous, from the scene. He said it didn't feel real and it "felt like a bad dream."
