Belle Gibson’s Mate Claims Netflix Made ‘Zero Contact’ With Her While Making Apple Cider Vinegar

We’re all busting to catch Netflix’s new series Apple Cider Vinegar about the treacherous cancer scam Aussie gal Belle Gibson cooked up back in 2013. But how does old mate Belle feel about it?

Well, it’s hard to say given she hasn’t been consulted about the series, according to a close mate of Belle’s.

But then again, why bother even hitting her up and giving her another chance to lie to us through her teeth, right?

What has Belle Gibson said about Netflix’s Apple Cider Vinegar?

“No one from Netflix had contacted Belle,” an unidentified pal told Yahoo Lifestyle, adding: “Apple Cider Vinegar is being made with zero contact with Belle.”

The friend went on to say that Belle “has told me she will not be watching the series prior to it being screened”.

Apparently Belle is insisting that she won’t be watching the show, while another source contradicted this, telling the site: “Belle is very keen to see what they have done with the story.”

That makes two of us, doll!

The insider went on to reveal that Belle is still hugely in debt after she was fined $410,000 for faking cancer.

“However, Netflix have crossed their T’s and dotted their I’s and don’t believe Gibson will have a case against them,” they said.

The hotly anticipated series tells the story of how Belle Gibson rose to fame and scored a book deal and a hugely successful lifestyle app, all off the false claim that she cured her cancer by adopting a wellness routine. Not only was there no basis to support that said routine cures cancer, but she never bloody had the disease in the first place.

Netflix describes the show as: “Set at the birth of Instagram, Apple Cider Vinegar, follows two young women who set out to cure their life-threatening illnesses through health and wellness, influencing their global online communities along the way. All of which would be incredibly inspiring if it were all true.

“This is a true-ish story based on a lie, about the rise and fall of a wellness empire; the culture that built it up and the people who tore it down.”

No official air date has been set for Apple Cider Vinegar, but Netflix has confirmed it is coming in 2025, whether Belle Gibson likes it or not.
