HONOLULU – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Thursday’s official Bellator 294 fighter weigh-ins, which kicked off at 2 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT).
The weigh-ins took place at the Bellator host hotel in Honolulu. The nearby Neal S. Blaisdell Arena hosts Friday’s event, which has a main card on Showtime following prelims on MMA Junkie. It is the first of back-to-back shows in Honolulu.
Among those weighing in were women’s flyweight champion Liz Carmouche (18-7 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) and challenger DeAnna Bennett (13-7-1 MMA, 3-1 BMMA), who meet in the main event. Bennett missed weight after multiple attempts, coming in at 126.2 on her final try to hit the flyweight championship limit.
In the co-feature, Tim Johnson (15-9 MMA, 3-5 BMMA) takes on Said Sowma (8-4 MMA, 2-3 BMMA) at heavyweight. Plus, former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger and Olympic wrestling medalist Sara McMann (13-6 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) makes her Bellator debut against Arlene Blencowe (15-9 MMA, 8-5 BMMA).

**Lencioni missed the featherweight limit on his first attempt and will not cut additional weight. He will be fined a percentage of his purse if his opponent makes weight and a catchweight is agreed to.
