Bellamy looking for consistency as Storm tackle Tigers

After a satisfying reply to Melbourne's worst performance of the season, coach Craig Bellamy is urging his Storm troops to find some consistency heading into the back end of the NRL season.

Minus Queensland Origin trio Cameron Munster, Harry Grant and Xavier Coates, Melbourne travel to Campbelltown to face Wests Tigers on Saturday night looking to back up their thumping win over Cronulla.

The Tigers will also be without injured stars Api Koroisau and Luke Brooks while prop Stefano Utoikamanu has been called up for NSW.

The Storm folded against North Queensland in the round prior with Bellamy saying their rollercoaster form had been the story of their season.

"It was a good reply after the Cowboys game which was the worst of our season ... but that's been a part of our whole season, just inconsistent," Bellamy said on Friday.

"We need to back up with a good effort this week.

"When players are consistent you know what you're going to get so we need to understand what's important to us and make sure we do it - we haven't been doing it long enough but we'll keep pushing it and hopefully at some stage the penny will drop."

The Maroons' selection of Coates has made room for George Jennings to make his NRL return following his serious knee injury in round one last year.

Bellamy was delighted to see the popular veteran winger get a run.

"He did his ACL but then had a couple of setbacks with an infection so to see him keep fighting and make it back in the NRL is a tribute to him and we're all proud of him," he said.

While the Storm sit third on the ladder, the Tigers are one spot from the bottom but Bellamy noted many of their 10 losses had been by close margins, with seven defeats by 12 points or less.

Melbourne won their round-four meeting at AAMI Park 24-12 but will also be without suspended skipper Christian Welch.

"They sit high in the stats as far as defence goes so they're a good team," he said of the Tigers.

"Missing Brooks and Koroisau isn't ideal for them but they've got some good young players on the rise.

"There's some hard ball-runners and big bodies there so we know it's going to be a tough game."
