Belgium rocked by big injury blow after dominant World Cup win over USA

Belgium World Cup United States Amadou Onana Aston Villa

Belgium and Aston Villa midfielder Amadou Onana has been ruled out of the remainder of the World Cup and a significant portion of the upcoming season due to a knee injury.
Onana sustained a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during the first half of Belgium's 4-1 last-16 victory against the USA, an injury that typically requires at least six months for recovery.
The 24-year-old's knee buckled without opponent contact, and he was later seen on crutches and wearing a knee brace after being substituted.
In the match, Belgium secured a 4-1 win over the USA in Seattle, with Charles De Ketelaere scoring twice, and Hans Vanaken and Romelu Lukaku adding further goals.
This victory sends Belgium into the World Cup quarter-finals for the third time in four tournaments, where they are set to face European champions Spain in Los Angeles.
