New Delhi: Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever arrived in India for a three-day official visit from September 2 to September 4, at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a visit aimed at further strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation across trade, investment, defence, technology and connectivity.

Announcing his arrival, the Ministry of External Affairs, in a post on X, stated that his visit is expected to provide an opportunity to further strengthen the close and multifaceted partnership between India and Belgium. The Belgian PM was welcomed by the Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth.
