Belfast to Aberdeen Loganair flight forced to perform emergency landing due to "technical issue"

A Loganair flight from Belfast has been forced to perform an emergency landing due to a mid-air "technical issue" onboard.

The airline confirmed that after a technical issue arose on flight LM86 from Belfast to Aberdeen, the aircraft was forced to land in Edinburgh as a precaution on Monday, Edinburgh Live reports.

Reports on social media suggested that there were fire crews on hand at Edinburgh Airport in anticipation for the flight landing, although Loganair confirmed it landed without incident.
