The Belfast Giants have confirmed that defenseman Patrick Mullen won’t be joining the club due to an unforeseen change in “personal circumstances.”
Mullen, who impressed for the Giants in the 2019/20 campaign before the Covid-19 pandemic led to the season being curtailed, had re-signed for a second spell on Deadline Day.
But the Massachusetts native, who played NCAA Division One hockey for University of Denver and enjoyed spells in Sweden and Germany, won’t now be arriving in Belfast.
