A Belfast artist said he owes his life to the medical team of Northern Ireland's Air Ambulance after they put him in an induced coma at the scene of a horrifying 15ft ladder fall.
Oliver McParland, 64, was left in a coma for 24 days after the fall while painting last summer and when he woke up he had no memory. It took 10 days before he began to recognise his family again.
The artist, who lives in Ballycastle but is originally from Belfast, said the induced coma the air ambulance team provided was "crucial".
