A beer lover who has spent £30,000 in his feat to visit every Wetherspoons in the British Isles has almost completed his challenge. David Bingham, 60, set out to visit all 875 pubs four years ago.
He has travelled thousands of miles every month to take on the 'longest pub crawl in history.' He estimates his final tab for his epic mission is close to £30,000, including travel fares, drinks and overnight stays.
David, from West Hallam in Derbyshire, will sink the final a pint of his challenge at The Flying Horse on Wednesday, June 7. The boozer is after the security barrier at Gatwick, meaning David had to buy an airline ticket before being allowed inside.
