Bed-bound Sunderland man fears 'being dragged from home on a mattress' after eviction notice

A quadriplegic Sunderland man is living in fear of losing his home after being issued with an eviction notice by his landlord.

62-year-old Dr Harvey Cowe lives with his wife Sheree, 55, on Brittany Road in Hove, East Sussex, and has done so for 25 years. However, the couple's landlord issued them with a notice for eviction on Tuesday August 2, SussexLive reports.

Dr Cowe has been effectively paralysed from the neck-down since 1984 following a car accident in the Lake District. Originally from Sunderland, the couple have been renting their home in Hove for 25 years and Sheree is her husband's full time carer.
