Becky G says working with Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco was 'beautiful' as she recalls stunt‑filled video shoot

Becky G is forever 'thankful' to Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco

Becky G has hailed her recent team‑up with Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco as "beautiful".

The married couple teamed up with the Latin star on the track Te Olvido (La La)  from Benny's album Hermoso and she still can't believe how lucky she is.

Speaking on Apple Music’s Zane Lowe Show this week, Becky G said working with Selena - who, like her, is Mexican‑American - felt instantly meaningful.

She said: “It’s more than cool. It’s beautiful."

She added that she’s been texting Benny to thank him for bringing her onto the project.

Becky G said: “I just continue to reiterate to him how really thankful I am to have been invited to be on his album."

Recalling her earliest meeting with Benny, she reflected: “[He] has always just been this person who very early on I remember meeting this character, this personality that I would never forget.”

Becky G also shared a glimpse of the video shoot for the song, calling the day “so sick".

She revealed she ended up doing her own action scenes, joking: “I was doing my own stunts... I was going to say by choice but not according to Benny. Everybody’s got to do their own stunts.”

The 29-year-old singer - who released her latest album, Baraja Bendita, this month - recently revealed the collaboration came by accident.

Becky G told Rolling Stone: "It's just everything. I was trippin'. The Gomez girls, finally! She's the sweetest.

"And I've known Benny for so long now, which is crazy. I remember the day we went into the studio, again, no intention set, just kind of like: 'Let's create and let's see what happens'

"And I feel like it was a few weeks after, the song was so stuck in my head. I literally would wake up like: 'La, la, la la la, la, la, la, la la.'

"And I'd walk around my house, and then I'd text my manager Ben, then I hit Benny, and be like: 'OK, so what are we gonna do with this song? What's gonna happen with the song?' And it just continued to unfold."

She went on to add: "I remember hearing Sel's verse on it, and hearing our voices together was so surreal."
