Bebe Rexha hit in face by fan’s phone during New York concert

Bebe Rexha was seen falling to the ground after being struck in the head by a fan’s phone during a recent concert.

The American artist was performing in New York on Sunday at the Rooftop at Pier 17 as part of her Best F’n Night of My Life tour when a concertgoer launched the device towards her.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, the Meant To Be singer can be seen approaching the front of the stage, when a phone flies out from the crowd and hits her in her face.

The Grammy-nominated star is then seen falling to her knees while several crew members and medics rushed onstage to help her.

Following the incident, fans commented on the footage and shared their support for Rexha while also questioning the concertgoer’s actions.

One penned on Twitter: “We were all having a hell of a good time and so was Bebe, we were all having a blast, I mean who would even do that??? We hope you’re OK @BebeRexha.”

“Absolutely great show ruined by a fan throwing their phone at @BebeRexha hopefully she is OK after that,” another wrote.

A third added: “Bebe is literally one of the sweetest and most unproblematic people in the music industry she doesn’t deserve this… some of y’all really need to leave her alone omg.”

While a fourth, who shared a video of the star being tended to by medics, wrote: “This is Bebe Rexha being rushed out of the concert venue here in NYC after someone threw a f***ing phone and hit her face as she was leaving the stage.”

The Standard has contacted Bebe Rexha’s rep for comment.

The singer reportedly cancelled her meet and greet following the concert while her mother revealed she had to get three stitches, according to Pop Base.

It is not yet known if her injuries will impact her upcoming concerts in the US this week.
