Beauty fans have been left dumfounded by a budget £3 powder which, they say, is better than a £36 Charlotte Tilbury product. The £3 powder is said to give flawless skin, and fans say it keeps their make-up in place for an entire day.
Rimmel's Stay Matte Pressed Powder has gone down a storm with beauty buffs on social media, and is selling out quickly. One Tik Toker, @hanstluce, pitted Rimmel's £3 Stay Matte Pressed Powder against Charlotte Tilbury's £36 Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder.
After comparing the two, Hannah was blown away. She was stunned to find the Rimmel powder worked 'even better' than the Charlotte Tilbury.

She said: "So apparently the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder and the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder are one [and] the same, very very similar. Let’s try them out. Now I have tried both of these powders, this was one of my cult faves when I first started make-up because it’s super affordable.
"It is, I believe, under £5. Everyone knows this is the famous Charlotte Tilbury powder, it is £36 so there is a whopping price difference, but let’s see how similar they are."
She continued: "You can see my Charlotte Tilbury powder is well loved. Here are the before of my under-eyes. Going in on this eye with the Charlotte Tilbury, I’m just going to take some on my powder puff as so and I’m just going to press this underneath the eye.
"This is a flawless powder that will really give you those seamless under eyes. I’ve just patted that in with my Trigwell Powder Puff. You can see, it’s very, very smoothing. It just looks very, very natural.
"Now with a second powder puff, I’m going to go in with the Rimmel Stay Matte. As I’m pressing this in, they’re definitely different shades but may I say, they are very, very similar.
"This side though looks slightly little bit more blurring, but that is what the two powders look like. We’ve got £5 and £36. This side is giving me ever so slightly more brightening vibes.
"I kind of like the Rimmel vibe because it’s ever so slightly more brightening. This is what seven hours later of wear looks like. I actually think the Rimmel did a slightly better job than the Charlotte Tilbury."
Away from Tik Tok, the £3 Rimmel powder has also racked up thousands of five-star reviews online. People are blown away by how well it fixes make-up for an entire day.
One five-star reviewer raved: "I’ve used this product for years! I’ve tried others but always go back to this. It does the job and always a great price." Another said: "I’ve used this product for years! I’ve tried others but always go back to this. It does the job and always a great price."
A third person said: "This is the best pressed powder on the market in my opinion. I have been using it for over 50 yrs and my love of it has not diminished. I also have Chanel, Boots No7 and have used Elizabeth Arden. They are all great but humble Rimmel is finer in texture and right up there with premium brands."
You can buy Rimmel's Stay Matte Pressed Powder for £3.19 instead of £4.49 on the LookFantastic website here.
