The house was awarded a Grade II listing in 1960, amended in 1996, for being 'one of a group of late 18th century - early 19th century substantial houses in the centre of Glasbury and of group value in the conservation area'.
The attractive red, blue and yellow brick coach house that looks out over the village green and is part of the entrance of the house, along with an impressive brick columned gateway, was listed Grade II in 1996 for its 'group value with the listed Parc Gwynne, and with other listed buildings in the Conservation Area around the green'. It was renovated and converted into a dwelling in 1975.
From the outside, surrounded by its own delightful country cottage garden and cute courtyard with flagstone patio and boasting round and arch windows for extra impact, the coach house alone is a building that you can't wait to explore, before you even get to the main house.
And inside, the coach house doesn't disappoint - it oozes all the character that you would hope for from the pretty outside facade. There's an open-plan sitting room that is a comfortable and cosy space, with a fireplace in the corner and light flooding in from the main arch window at the rear that looks out over the charming village green.
