The Chicago Bears (7-9) have released their inactives ahead of their Week 18 game against the Green Bay Packers (8-8), where the Bears are looking to record their third consecutive win to close out the 2023 season.
Unfortunately, Chicago will be without some big players against Green Bay. The most notable inactive is cornerback Jaylon Johnson, who suffered a shoulder injury in last week’s win. Johnson, who had a career year that culminated in a Pro Bowl nod, is slated to hit free agency this offseason.
Wide receiver Darnell Mooney was previously ruled out with a concussion, and he’s also slated to hit the open market come March. Running back D’Onta Foreman is a healthy scratch for a second straight game, and it feels like he might’ve played his last down with Chicago.
Backup quarterback Tyson Bagent has been battling an illness all week, and he’s officially out. That means it’ll be Nathan Peterman serving as Justin Fields’ backup in Sunday’s finale.
Here’s a look at the Bears’ inactives:
- CB Jaylon Johnson
- WR Darnell Mooney
- RB D’Onta Foreman
- QB Tyson Bagent
- CB Greg Stroman Jr.
- S Quindell Johnson
- OL Ja’Tyre Carter
Also, a look at the Packers’ inactives:
- WR Christian Watson
- RB AJ Dillon
- LB Brenton Cox Jr.
- LB Isaiah McDuffie
- OT Caleb Jones
- WR Grant DuBose
The Bears and Packers kick things off at 3:25 p.m. CT on CBS.
