The Chicago Bears selected Kennesaw State defensive tackle Travis Bell with the 258 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.
Bell is the third defensive tackle that general manager Ryan Poles has added in this draft, joining fellow rookies Tyrique Stevenson (second round) and Zacch Pickens (third round).
Last season, he totaled 34 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in 11 games with the Owls.
“(He’s a) tough, explosive, physical player that is relentless on the field,” Kennesaw State defensive line coach Liam Klein told Daniel Greenberg. “A great player and our leader for the last few years.”

Here’s what Draft Countdown’s Shane Hallam had to say about Bell:
Travis Bell is my DL62. Penetrating pass rusher. Has some agility ability as well. Big time athlete. Raw, needs to learn how to read run game and offenses. Potential is there.
Bell is the first player drafted from Kennesaw State in NFL history.
