The Chicago Bears officially hired former Indianapolis Colts linebackers coach Dave Borgonzi and assistant defensive backs coach David Overstreet to the coaching staff under Matt Eberflus.
This was expected given the reports that surfaced following the Bears’ hiring of Eberflus as their new head coach. But with the team announcing it, the moves become official.
Both coaches will be holding the same role in Chicago as they did during their time with the Colts.
As it stands, the Bears have officially hired four coaches from the Colts. With Eberflus as head coach, he also brought with him former safeties coach Alan Williams to be the defensive coordinator.
It was also reported that cornerbacks coach James Rowe would be following Eberflus to Chicago but that has yet to be announced.
