On Friday, Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus made it official that rookie quarterback Caleb Williams is the team’s starting quarterback. The Bears selected Williams No. 1 overall in the 2024 NFL draft.
This isn’t exactly a shock considering Williams has been the guy for the Bears for months. The Bears and Williams made it no secret the former USC star was to be the pick and the future of the franchise. The Bears practically gave away last year’s starter, Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fields was the Bears first-round pick in 2021.

Williams is expected to turn around the Bears franchise after a stellar college career that included the Heisman Trophy.
