Bears hire two assistant coaches to 2024 staff

The Chicago Bears have added a couple of assistant coaches to Matt Eberflus’ coaching staff.

Chicago has hired Ryan Griffin as an offensive assistant working with quarterbacks and receivers and Bryan Bing as assistant defensive line coach.

Griffin is making the transition from player to coach. He was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent, where he played from 2013-14. He later joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2015-22, where he won a Super Bowl in 2021.

Bing served as a defensive assistant with the Indianapolis Colts last season, as part of the Tony Dungy Diversity Coaching Fellows program. Bing previously served as defensive line coach at Butler (2018) and Wofford College (2021-22). He was also a graduate assistant at Heidelberg University (2016), Kent State (2017) and Pitt (2019-20).

Bing replaces the recently-departed Justin Hinds, who was hired as the Seattle Seahawks defensive line coach.

The Bears previously announced the hirings of Chad Morton as running backs coach, Chris Beatty as wide receivers coach, Thomas Brown as offensive passing game coordinator and Jason Houghtaling as assistant offensive line coach.

Chicago also announced the additions of Robbie Picazo as an offensive assistant quarterbacks and receivers coach and Jennifer King as an offensive assistant running backs coach.
