Joint practices with Colts
The Bears will host two joint practices with the Colts ahead of their Week 2 preseason game in Indianapolis. Those practices will be held Wednesday, Aug. 16 and Thursday, Aug. 17 at the Colts’ facility.
“It’s exciting to be able to do that,” said coach Matt Eberflus. “We’ve done them in the past. There’s a lot of good work during those crossovers. The 1-on-1s are really cool to do, the pass rushes and the covers and all those things, the DBs versus the receivers. You get to go against a different skillset, which is really neat because you get to adjust your skillset to them, your technique. It’s going to be fun to be able to see that and evaluate that.”
Kevin Warren's statement
“Training camp is one of the first events of the year where the rookie and veteran players are introduced and reintroduced to our fans. It is also sets in motion the hopeful beginnings of a championship year,” said Bears CEO & President Kevin Warren, via ChicagoBears.com. “The Chicago Bears continue to partner with Enjoy Illinois for training camp to bring out our fans who wear the State of Illinois and City of Chicago, so proudly. I look forward to joining the Chicago Bears fans for the first time as CEO & President to kick off what is sure to be one of the most anticipated years in our club’s history for a best-in-class experience.”
