The Chicago Bears’ 2023 season has come to a close. Unfortunately, it didn’t end on a high note with another loss to the hated Green Bay Packers. But Bears fans certainly have a busy offseason to look forward to.
With the regular season in the books, Chicago’s first-round picks have been finalized. The Bears already locked up the No. 1 selection (thanks to the Carolina Panthers) last week, but we now know they’ll also be picking ninth overall.
Of course, all eyes will be on general manager Ryan Poles and what he decides to do with the first overall selection. Poles can opt to trade it for the second consecutive year, choosing to stick with quarterback Justin Fields in the process. Or Poles can use it to draft a new quarterback, most likely Caleb Williams.
It’s a debate that will carry on publicly among fans and analysts and privately between Poles and his staff throughout the draft process.
But regardless of the outcome, the Bears are in a prime position heading into the 2024 NFL draft with two top-10 selections.
